Instructions

  1. Cream the Butter: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until it’s light and creamy, about three minutes.
  2. Mix in Sweetened Condensed Milk: Add the sweetened condensed milk and continue to beat for an additional two minutes. If you’d like to add any extracts for flavor, do so at this point (just keep it to no more than 2 teaspoons).
  3. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat for another minute or two. Then, add the flour and baking powder, mixing until just combined. If you’re adding extras like chocolate chips or dried fruit, mix them in now, but limit to no more than 1 cup.
  4. Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough into mounds on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring to leave at least two inches between each mound.
  5. Bake: Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 320°F (160°C) for 12 minutes.
  6. Cool and Dust: Once baked, remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the pan for about five minutes. Transfer them to a wire cooling rack and dust generously with confectioner’s sugar. Allow the cookies to cool completely before storing.

Enjoy these delightful snowballs as a sweet treat for any occasion!
