- 1 cup pastry cream or whipped cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Activate Yeast:
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. - Make Dough:
Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. - Mix & Knead:

Cut into doughnut shapes, cover, and let them rise for 30 minutes. - Fry the Cronuts:
Heat oil to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and fry in batches for 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels. - Coat & Fill:
Roll warm cronuts in sugar and fill with pastry cream or whipped cream using a piping bag. - Enjoy:
