These easy 2-Ingredient Donuts are made with yogurt and flour, air-fried to golden perfection. Quick, healthier donuts ready in under 20 minutes—perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

For the Donut Dough

  • 1 ¾ cups self-rising flour or flour + baking powder; see notes
  • 1 cup vanilla plant-based yogurt or any vanilla yogurt

To Coat the Donuts

  • 3 tablespoons unrefined sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup dairy-free butter melted

For Handling the Dough

  • 1 –2 tablespoons melted coconut oil any neutral oil works

Instructions

Make the Donut Dough

  • Add self-rising flour and vanilla yogurt to a large bowl.
  • Stir with a spatula until it starts to form a dough.
  • Oil your hands and knead until soft, smooth, and elastic.

Shape the Donuts

  • Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  • Oil your hands again and smooth each ball.
  • Press your thumb into the center of each ball and widen the hole generously—
  • the holes shrink while air frying.

Air Fry

  • Grease the air fryer basket.
  • Place 4 donuts at a time, spaced apart.
  • Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 8–9 minutes until puffed and golden.

Coat the Donuts

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Brush warm donuts with melted butter.
  • Roll immediately in the cinnamon sugar.
  • Repeat with Remaining Dough
  • Air fry the remaining donuts and coat the same way.

Notes

Generously oil your hands—this dough is sticky.
Make big donut holes to prevent them from closing during cooking.
Brush with butter for that classic donut flavor.
Use vanilla yogurt for the best sweetness and taste.
