This creamy, buttery cheesecake crescent rolls casserole is a quick and easy dessert perfect for any season!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 8 oz blocks of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar for topping

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Oven and Dish

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.

Step 2: Lay the First Dough Layer

  • Unroll one can of crescent roll dough. Press it into the bottom of the prepared dish, pinching the seams to form a smooth, even base.

Step 3: Make the Cream Cheese Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar and the vanilla extract until completely smooth and fluffy.

Step 4: Add the Cheesecake Layer

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom crescent roll layer using a spatula.

Step 5: Add the Second Dough Layer

  • Unroll the second can of dough and carefully place it over the cream cheese mixture. Press the seams together gently.

Step 6: Top with Butter and Cinnamon Sugar

  • Brush the top layer with melted butter. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough.

Step 7: Bake to Golden Perfection

  • Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp. The edges should be slightly puffed and fragrant.

Step 8: Cool and Serve

  • Let the casserole cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature. Optional: drizzle with honey or serve with fresh berries.
