Ingredients

Marinating Ingredients For Chicken Pakora

  • 400 gms of chicken [boneless]
  • 6 to 8 tbsp gram flour or besan[adjust later if required]
  • 2 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp salt[adjust as per need]
  • 2 tbsp cornflour or corn starch
  • 2 to 3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 egg white
  • 5 to 6 tbsp water

Other Chicken Pakoda Ingredients

  • 250 to 300 ml oil to fry
  • 2 to 3 kitchen tissue [drain off excess oil]

  • At first, for marinating chicken pieces in a large mixing bowl add boneless chicken.
  • Then add a few tablespoons of gram flour or besan.
  • Next sprinkle some Indian powder spices including turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder,garam masala powder, and salt to taste.
  • Furthermore add a few tablespoons of cornflour, in it.
  • Additionally, add a medium-size chopped onion,2 to 3 chopped green chili and freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  • Now, mix everything for some time.
  • Furthermore, add one egg white and a few tablespoons of water to make a thick coating on each chicken piece.
  • Finally set aside this marinated chicken in the refrigerator for perfect coating.
  • Next for chicken pakora fry heat oil in a pan to deep fry marinated chicken pieces on medium flame.
  • Check whether the oil is hot enough by dropping a small amount of mixture in oil, if it freely rises without quickly browning then the oil is ready.
  • Now add marinated chicken pieces in oil and fry them on medium flame.
  • Flip each chicken piece after 3 to 4 min and cook both sides until chickens become golden brown.
  • When both sides become golden brown, take them out immediately and drain off the excess oil on a kitchen tissue.
  • Finally, garnish this delicious chicken pakodas with chat masalas and serve hot with chai or green chutney and red sauce.

Notes

Chicken Pakora Recipe Note

  1. If you don't want to use egg white just discard it and use 3 to 4 tbsp yogurt while marinating chicken.
  2. To avoid any sogginess in mixture increase a little amount of gram flour and cornflour and a proportional amount of spices which helps to maintain chicken pakodas crunchy.
