For those moments when a craving for a crunchy snack hits, these Air Fryer Mozzarella Sticks are the perfect solution. Forget about the messy oil on the stove; this version is quick, much cleaner, and delivers that melted, stretchy cheese that everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • 300 g block mozzarella cheese cut into sticks
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or Panko
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray or for brushing

Instructions

  • Cut the mozzarella into sticks about 8 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.
  • Place the sticks on a plate and put them in the freezer for 30-40 minutes.
  • Prepare the breading dishes: 1) Flour with salt and pepper; 2) Beaten eggs; 3) Breadcrumbs with oregano and garlic powder.
  • Coat each stick in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs. For safety, dip in the egg and breadcrumbs a second time.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes.
  • Place the sticks in the basket, spray with olive oil, and bake for 6 to 8 minutes, turning halfway through if necessary, until golden.
  • Serve immediately with tomato sauce or seasoned mayonnaise.
