  • 12 oz short pasta ditalini or shells
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan or Cheddar cheese

  • ½ small onion finely diced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
