This Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi copycat recipe features succulent shrimp in a rich garlic butter white wine sauce. A quick and elegant 30-minute seafood dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb uncooked shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • cups white cooking wine
  • 4 tsp minced garlic
  • Juice from ½ a lemon
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque (about 2–3 minutes per side). Remove shrimp and set aside.

Make the Sauce

  • Lower the heat and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Deglaze & Reduce

  • Add the white cooking wine and lemon juice to the skillet. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the liquid reduces by half (about 5–7 minutes).

Combine & Finish

  • Stir in the Italian seasoning. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to heat through and blend flavors.

Serve

  • Remove from heat. Garnish with grated Parmesan and optional parsley. Serve hot over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Use jumbo shrimp for more impressive presentation.
For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce.
Fresh lemon juice enhances the flavor better than bottled.
Use dry white wine for a more complex flavor (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc).
