When the holiday lights are twinkling and the house is full of family, there is one dessert that guaranteed to make everyone’s eyes light up: Homemade Christmas Cookie Lasagna. This festive treat isn't just a dessert; it's a celebration in a dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 package 14.3 oz Golden Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container 16 oz whipped topping, divided
  • 2 packages 3.4 oz each instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold whole milk
  • ½ cup Christmas M&Ms red and green
  • ¼ cup holiday sprinkles
  • Mini gingerbread or sugar cookies for topping

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the crushed cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1.5 cups of the whipped topping.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled cookie crust.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the two pudding mixes and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  • Carefully spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  • Top with the remaining whipped topping, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  • Before serving, decorate the top with M&Ms, sprinkles, and mini cookies.
