Elegant fig and goat cheese tart with honey and thyme on flaky puff pastry. Perfect for fall dinners or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 4 oz goat cheese crumbled
  • 6 –8 fresh figs sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Tip: If fresh figs are out of season, use dried figs sliced thin and soak briefly in warm water to soften.

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Puff Pastry

  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth any creases. Transfer to the baking sheet.

Layer the Cheese and Figs

  • Evenly scatter the crumbled goat cheese over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. Arrange the fig slices on top of the cheese in a decorative pattern.

Add Honey and Seasoning

  • Drizzle the figs and cheese with honey. Sprinkle with fresh thyme, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

Bake the Tart

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden and the cheese is slightly melted.

Serve Warm

  • Let the tart cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
