Savor the ultimate comfort food with French Onion Beef Casserole! This hearty dish combines ground beef, egg noodles, and a creamy French onion dip, all topped with crispy fried onions. Perfect for cozy family meals.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 16 ounces French onion dip
  • 10.5 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups fried onions

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Lightly coat a 10-inch square baking dish with nonstick spray and set it aside.

Cook the Noodles

  • Prepare the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the noodles and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Brown the Beef

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully browned and no pink remains. Drain any excess grease.

Combine Ingredients

  • In the mixing bowl with the cooked noodles, add the French onion dip, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream. Stir until everything is evenly combined. Then, fold in the grated cheddar cheese and the cooked ground beef.

Assemble and Bake

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbling.

Add the Crispy Topping

  • Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the fried onions evenly across the top. Return it to the oven and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, until the onions are golden and crisp.

Cool and Serve

  • Allow the casserole to cool for about 5 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve immediately and enjoy!
