Juicy Garlic Butter Baked Chicken Breast with herbs and lemon — an easy, flavorful weeknight meal ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges optional for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment for easier cleanup.

Step 2: Arrange the Chicken

  • Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the baking dish. If they are very thick, you can pound them lightly to even thickness for more consistent cooking.

Step 3: Mix the Garlic Butter

  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with minced garlic, dried parsley, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.

Step 4: Coat the Chicken

  • Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the chicken breasts. Use a spoon or brush to make sure the sauce coats the chicken completely.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake the chicken breasts in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the chicken breasts.

Step 6: Serve

  • Optional: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken before serving for a bright, fresh finish. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
