Succulent garlic butter lobster tails baked to perfection. Elegant, flavorful, and easy to make—perfect for any special meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • tsp paprika divided
  • tsp Old Bay seasoning divided
  • tsp kosher salt divided
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 stick 8 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic grated or finely minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare & Preheat

  • Preheat your oven to 400 °F (205 °C).
  • Using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the back of each lobster shell toward the tail, leaving the base intact. Gently loosen the meat from the shell and lift it to rest on top. Remove any vein and rinse the meat if necessary. Pat dry and place tails on a baking sheet.

Step 2: Season the Lobster

  • In a small bowl, combine ¼ teaspoon each paprika, Old Bay seasoning, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning evenly over the lobster tails.

Step 3: Bake

  • Bake the seasoned lobster tails for 10 minutes—enough to cook through but not brown.

Step 4: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • While the lobster bakes, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Stir in grated garlic, chopped parsley, lemon zest, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning, and 1 teaspoon salt until fully combined. Remove about 3 tablespoons of this mixture and set aside.

Step 5: Broil for Finish

  • Brush the remaining butter sauce generously over the lobster tails. Switch your oven to high broil and broil for about 3 minutes—this will bring a beautiful golden color to the tops without overcooking.

Step 6: Serve

  • Remove the lobster from the oven. Finish by drizzling them with the reserved butter sauce and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
