Ingredients

  • 2 or 3 chicken breasts cut in half horizontally
  • 3 teaspoons paprika divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon optional
  • 1 –2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley plus more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes optional

Instructions

Prep and Season the Chicken

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and position a rack in the center.
  • Cut the chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner cutlets. This helps them cook evenly and soak up more flavor.
  • Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, chicken bouillon (if using), and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Arrange the seasoned chicken in a lightly greased baking dish.

Mix the Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, olive oil, grated parmesan, black pepper, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, red chili flakes (if using), and the remaining 2 teaspoons of paprika.
  • This rich, buttery blend brings the flavor in layers—herby, cheesy, garlicky goodness all in one.

Pour and Bake

  • Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken. For extra flavor, you can save a little of the sauce for dipping or drizzling at the end.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). The parmesan will melt and create a golden, crusty finish on top.

Serve and Garnish

  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with your favorite sides. Spoon over extra sauce from the baking dish for a flavor boost.
