Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts cubed
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Pita bread soft, warmed
  • Tzatziki sauce
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Sliced onion

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken

  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, and garlic powder.
  • Add chicken cubes and toss to coat.
  • Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes.

Assemble the Gyros

  • Warm pita bread until soft.
  • Fill with cooked chicken, sliced tomato, cucumber, and onion.
