There is something absolutely addictive about the way heat transforms fruit, and this Air Fryer Caramelized Pineapple is the ultimate proof. By tossing fresh pineapple chunks in a simple blend of brown sugar and cinnamon, you create a treat that tastes like it came straight from a Brazilian steakhouse.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole fresh pineapple cored and cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter or coconut oil melted
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: Fresh mint or lime zest for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter (or oil), cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  • Add the pineapple chunks to the bowl and toss thoroughly until every piece is coated in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Place the pineapple in the air fryer basket in a single, even layer. You may need to cook in two batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even caramelization.
  • The pineapple is done when the edges are browned and the sugar has formed a sticky glaze.
  • Transfer to a plate and garnish with fresh mint or a zest of lime if desired. Serve warm.
