This Black Sangria is the ultimate sophisticated centerpiece for your next gathering. Forget the bright reds of summer; this version leans into the deep, mysterious hues of dark fruits, creating a drink that is as visually striking as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle 750ml Dark red wine (Malbec or Syrah)
  • ½ cup Brandy
  • ¼ cup Simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup Fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup Black grapes halved
  • 2 Black plums sliced
  • 1 cup Sparkling water chilled
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  • In a large glass pitcher, combine the blackberries, halved grapes, and sliced plums.
  • Pour in the brandy and simple syrup, stirring gently to combine.
  • Add the bottle of dark red wine and stir again.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to infuse.
  • Just before serving, pour in the chilled sparkling water and give it a final light stir.
  • Serve in wine glasses over ice, making sure to include plenty of the infused fruit in each glass.
