This dish features savory beef and vibrant vegetables tossed in a glossy, umami-rich hoisin sauce that perfectly coats every noodle. Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak thinly sliced
  • 8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables carrots, bell peppers, snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • For the Sauce:
  • cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Boil: Cook noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  • Sear: Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Sear the beef strips for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté: Add a little more oil if needed, then stir-fry the garlic, ginger, and vegetables for 2 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Combine: Add the beef and noodles back to the wok. Pour in the whisked sauce ingredients.
  • Toss: Toss everything together for 1 minute until the sauce is thick and glossy.
