Crispy wonton cups filled with creamy jalapeño popper filling — cream cheese, bacon, cheddar, and jalapeños! Perfect for parties and game day snacks.

Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 4 oz cooked bacon finely chopped (reserve 2 tbsp)
  • 2 oz cheddar cheese grated (about ½ cup; reserve 2 tbsp)
  • 3 jalapeño peppers deseeded and finely chopped (reserve 2 tbsp)
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • Oil or cooking spray for greasing

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prep the Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin with oil or cooking spray.
  • Press a wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, folding gently to fit.
  • For extra crunch, spray the insides of the wonton wrappers lightly with cooking spray.

Step 2: Pre-Bake the Wonton Shells

  • Bake the wonton cups for 6–8 minutes, until the edges start to turn golden.
  • Remove from the oven and reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).

Step 3: Make the Creamy Filling

    In a mixing bowl, combine:

    • Cream cheese
    • Cheddar cheese
    • Cooked bacon
    • Jalapeños
    • Green onions
    • Milk or cream
    • Mix until fully combined and smooth.

    Step 4: Fill and Top

    • Spoon the cream cheese filling into each pre-baked wonton cup using a spoon or small cookie scoop.
    • Top each cup with the reserved bacon, cheddar, and jalapeño for extra flavor and texture.

    Step 5: Bake Again

    • Return the pan to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the filling is hot and the tops are bubbly and slightly golden.

Step 6: Cool Slightly and Serve

    • Let the wonton cups cool for a few minutes in the pan before removing.
    • Serve warm and watch them disappear!
