Soft, chewy Marry Me Cookies with white and semisweet chocolate chips and oats — a homemade treat guaranteed to impress!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ¼ cups light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Optional: ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Wet Ingredients

  • Begin by melting the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop. Let it cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the light brown sugar and granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugars are dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, then beat until everything is well blended and slightly frothy.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

Step 3: Combine Wet and Dry

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the cookies soft and tender.

Step 4: Fold in the Goodies

  • Gently fold in the white chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, and optional nuts if you’d like an extra crunch. Stir just until evenly distributed.

Step 5: Chill the Dough

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor and the best chewy texture.

Step 6: Bake the Cookies

  • When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop out generous balls of dough (about 3 tablespoons each) and place them on the baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.

Step 7: Cool and Serve

  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy them warm for gooey, chocolate-studded bites, or let them cool completely for perfectly chewy cookies.
