Buttery crescent dough wrapped around juicy mini sausages—these pigs in a blanket are the perfect appetizer for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 24 cocktail sausages also called little smokies or mini hot dogs

Optional Toppings:

  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Suggested Dips:

  • Yellow mustard
  • Spicy brown mustard
  • Ketchup
  • BBQ sauce
  • Cheese sauce
  • Ranch dressing

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Cut the Dough

  • Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
  • Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 thin strips, making 24 total strips.

Step 3: Wrap the Sausages

  • Take one cocktail sausage and wrap it with a strip of dough, starting at one end and spiraling around to the other.
  • Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with all sausages.

Step 4: Add Toppings (Optional)

    For extra flavor and flair:

    • Brush each wrapped sausage with beaten egg.
    • Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning, shredded cheese, or garlic powder.

    Step 5: Bake

    • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.

    Step 6: Serve

    • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces. These are best fresh out of the oven, but can be reheated easily.
