Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 4 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup oil for browning the chops

Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Pork Chops

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • Brown each chop for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  • Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2: Layer the Potatoes

  • Thinly slice the potatoes and spread them evenly across the bottom of a medium casserole dish (9x13 works well).

Step 3: Add the Pork Chops

  • Place the browned pork chops directly on top of the layered potatoes.

Step 4: Mix the Sauce

  • In a bowl, combine:
  • Onion soup mix
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Milk
  • Stir until smooth and fully blended.

Step 5: Pour and Bake

  • Pour the sauce evenly over the pork chops and potatoes.
  • Cover with foil (optional but recommended for a creamier texture).
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.

Step 6: Serve & Enjoy

  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Scoop up a big serving of tender pork, creamy potatoes, and that glorious sauce. Pair with a side of green beans or roasted carrots for the full dinner experience.
