Ingredients

Ingredients for potato sandwich

  • 3 medium size mash potatoes
  • 25 grams green peas
  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 3 chopped green chili
  • 3 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 3 to 4 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 3 to 4 tablespoon coriander chutnry [ optional ]
  • 10 slice white bread or whole grain bread
  • Butter as required

Instructions

  • Stuffing for aloo sandwich
  • Now for preparing stuffing for aloo sandwich first place boil potatoes in a large mixing bowl and mash them.
  • Then mix green peas, ginger garlic paste, chopped green chili and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Next mix red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin powder and garam masala powder.
  • Finally, squeeze lemon juice and mix all of them for aloo masala sandwich.
  • How to make potato sandwich
  • At first to toast bread for sandwich recipe cut whole grain bread or normal bread diagonally into two equal halves.Then apply butter to both the bread slices.
  • Now heat a grill pan on medium flame and place the sandwich with the butter side down. Cook until crispy and golden brown. 
  • Apply some butter to the other side and flip to cook the sandwich until golden brown and crispy from both sides.
  • Then apply mayonnaise on the bread, make sure don't add too much because the bread will become soggy.
  • After that add potato stuffing to the bread.
  • Now put some circular cut capsicum and tomatoes on sandwich.
  • Also, sprinkle chaat masala powder or pav bhaji masala on the sandwich.
  • After that apply tomato ketchup on the back side of other toasted bread you can also use coriander chutney.
  • Finally, gently place the other toasted bread. Serve hot potato sandwich immediately.

Potato Sandwich Recipe Note

  1. You can add grated cheese, and different types of veggies as per your liking to prepare this aloo sandwich recipe.
  2. If you want to make more spicy sandwiches then increase the amount of red chili powder, green chili.
