These Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders are cheesy, buttery, and easy to make. Perfect for game day, gatherings, or weeknight dinners in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls 12-count
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ pound thinly sliced deli ham such as Black Forest
  • ¼ pound deli-sliced sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ pound deli-sliced Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • teaspoons poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of kosher salt if needed

Instructions

Make the Spread:

  • In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Set aside.

Prepare the Rolls:

  • Slice the slider buns in half with a serrated knife. Place cut side up on a baking sheet.

Broil the Rolls:

  • Preheat broiler to high. Toast the rolls, cut side up, for 1–2 minutes until lightly browned. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.

Preheat Oven:

  • Set oven to 350°F (or 325°F for a dark baking pan). Lightly spray a baking dish with cooking spray.

Assemble Sliders:

  • Place the bottom halves of the toasted rolls in the baking dish. Spread with just over half of the mayo-mustard mixture. Layer in order: cheddar cheese, ham, Swiss cheese. Spread the remaining mixture on the top halves and place on top.

Make the Butter Topping:

  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Brush over the tops and sides of the rolls.

Bake Covered:

  • Cover the baking dish with foil and let sit for 5 minutes. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until the tops are golden and crisp.

Serve:

  • Let cool for a few minutes. Slice into individual sliders and serve hot.

Notes

Toasting the rolls adds texture and keeps them from getting soggy.
Use high-quality deli meats and cheeses for the best flavor.
Watch the sliders closely during broiling and final baking stages to avoid burning.
