Ingredients

Besan Ladoo Ingredients

  • 200 gram besan or gram flour
  • 50 ml melted ghee or clarified butter
  • 100 gramm powder sugar add later if required
  • 4 to 5 green cardamon powder [elaichi powder]
  • 1 tbsp chopped almond [badam]
  • 1 tbsp chopped cashew nut [kaju]

Instructions

  • Before preparing besan ladoo pour 100 gram to 150 gram sugar in a blender to make powder sugar.
  • Also, make cardamom powder from cardamom pods.
  • Now in a non-stick pan pour melted ghee.
  • Add besan or gram flour in this ghee.
  • Now continuously stir this besan in ghee in low flame.
  • Initially, besan mixtures change its color from yellowish to light golden brown.
  • After roasting for 30 to 40 min in low flame, besan mixtures start releasing ghee from its side, also your kitchen is filled with a beautiful nutty aroma.
  • At this stage turn off the flame and cool down the mixture for some time.
  • When the mixture is cool a little bit, then add powder sugar, cardamom powder, and a few chopped dried fruits.
  • Now, mix everything with besan mixtures for another 2 to 3 min.
  • Next to make besan ladoo, grease your palm and pick a small amount of besan mixture.
  • Then rotate the besan mixture in between palm in round wise direction to make proper laddu shape.
  • Finally, our besan laddu recipe is ready, you can garnish with Chandi ka vark or silver foil and a few chopped dry fruits.

Notes

Besan Laddu Recipe Note

  1. To make proper laddu shape, add sugar only when the besan mixtures cool a little bit, you wouldn't be able to bind the mixture.
  2. If you like crunch in your besan laddus, you can add 2 to 3 tablespoon sooji or semolina after adding besan.
  3. To make besan laddu without sugar you can use sugar-free ingredients instead of sugar.
