Ingredients

For momo dough

  • 250 grams all-purpose flour or maida
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Making dough for momo
  • In a large bowl pour maida mix maida , salt and oil.
  • Then sprinkle water in parts and knead to make firm dough.
  • Finally apply oil and cover the dough with a moist towel and rest for 30 minutes.
  • Making stuffing for chicken momos
  • Now for cooking stuffing for chicken momos heat oil in a pan and spread it evenly on pan.
  • Then saute chopped onions , ginger garlic paste , chopped green chili in medium flame for sometimes till translucent.
  • Next add chicken keema and cook in medium to high heat for 8 to 10 min.
  • Furthermore add salt , red chili powder , garam masala powder.
  • Finally add freshly chopped coriander leaves, soy sauce. vinegar, mix them together.

How to make chicken momos

  • Now for making chicken momos place the dough on a plate, divide into equal circular ball, you can roll with the palm
  • First apply dusted flour on board then using a rolling pin make a thin circle of 3 inch diameter from that dough ball.
  • Now pour 1 tablespoon chicken stuffing in center apply water at the edges of circle with your finger tip or with a small pastry brush.
  • Next lift one side of the edge and join to other side just like gujia then join the both end together just like an envelope.
  • Now for cooking chicken momos first grease a steamer pan with some oil or you can place large cabbage leaf on it.
  • Next arrange the chicken momos in the pan, cover and steam for 7 to 10 minutes till the outer dough becomes transparent.
  • Finally our homemade chicken momos done. serve it hot with spicy momo chutney.
