Ingredients

Ingredients for fruit custard

  • 500 ml full-fat milk
  • 50 ml of warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons of custard powder
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder
  • 1 medium size grated apple
  • 1 small pomegranate
  • 2 bananas cut into circular slices
  • 8 to 10 chopped cashew nuts
  • 8 to 10 raisins
  • 6 to 8 almonds
  • 5 to 6 pistachios
  • 8 to 10 cranberries optional

Instructions

  • Preparation for custard
  • For making custard recipe pour full-fat milk into a deep bottom pan and stir the milk continuously in medium to low flame.
  • When milk becomes hot, gently take out some warm milk from the kadai.
  • In the meantime, in a mixing bowl add custard powder, and warm milk mix it properly such that no lumps are formed.
  • When milk is reduced to half of its quantities then add white granulated sugar, and cardamom powder, stir the milk continuously in medium to low flame till all of the sugar is dissolved properly. 
  • Now make the flame low and pour the custard into the kadai, immediately stir the mixture such that no lumps form.
  • Then make the flame medium and continuously stir the custard pudding until it becomes thick.
  • After complete preparation of the custard recipe make sure you keep this custard in the refrigerator for the chilled fruit custard recipe

  1. If you don't have custard powder right now then you can still make custard at home. Make sure add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch or arrowroot flour and mix it with warm milk as directed in the recipe, Along with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or ½ teaspoon vanilla essence.
