  • 375 grams all purpose flour [maida ]
  • 125 grams whole wheat flour [ atta ]
  • 1 tbsp salt [adjust if required]
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 80 ml luke warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml luke warm milk [ adjust if required ]
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 3 tsp kalonji seeds
  • 5 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 chopped garlic

Instructions

  • First, for preparing garlic naan recipe with yeast in a bowl add active dry yeast, lukewarm water and a tablespoon of sugar.
  • Mix them together and rest them for 5 to 10 min to get yeast activated and a bubbly texture from the top.
  • Now to make naan dough, in a large mixing bowl add maida, whole wheat flour and salt together.
  • After that add yogurt, pour activated yeast and a few tablespoons of oil into this mixture.
  • Next, add lukewarm milk at intervals and knead the dough thoroughly to make smooth naan dough.
  • Take a bowl and grease oil in it, place naan dough in it, and apply some oil on it.
  • cover a wet cloth on top of it and rest the butter naan dough for at least 3 to 4 hours until it becomes double.
  • Now apply some oil to the palm and divide the dough into 5 equal sizes and rest it for another 15 mins.
  • Now gently stretch the dough in an oval shape and apply some chopped garlic, and coriander leaves and sprinkle some kalonji seeds on top of it.
  • Then gently press the rolling pin on top of them.
