Gobi manchurian is one of the popular manchurian recipes in Indo-Chinese cuisine in which crispy,fried gobi florets tossed in spicy,delicious sauce.Serves hot this crispy cauliflower manchurian dry as a side dish with fried rice and noodles.

Ingredients

Marinating Cauliflower

  • 500 ml water
  • 2 tsp salt [adjust later]
  • 1 small size cauliflower
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 2 to 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 to 3 tbsp maida
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder

Frying Cauliflower

  • 50 to 100 ml oil for deep fry
  • 2 to 3 kitchen tissue to drain off excess oil

Ingredients Of Gobi Manchurian Gravy

  • 3 to 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger garlic
  • 4 tbsp chopped spring onion
  • 2 to 3 green chili [chopped]
  • 3 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp kashmiri red chili powder

Instructions

  • For making gobi manchurian,at first pour water in a deep pan for boil.
  • Now,add a pinch of salt,vinegar and make a quick stir.
  • Then,add cauliflower in this hot water to eliminate any harmful pesticides.
  • Next,cover the pan with lid and boil the gobi at least 2 to 3 min in medium to high flame.
  • After that,drain the excess water of boiled cauliflower in cotton towel.
  • Now for marinating gobi,in a bowl add corn flour,maida,black pepper,red chilli powder,salt and mix everything.
  • Furthermore,mix boiled cauliflower in bowl and marinated with rest of spices.
  • Next,pour oil in a deep kadai and fry marinated cauliflower in medium to low flame until golden brown.
  • Take out fried cauliflower and drain excess oil in kitchen tissue.
  • Now for making gobi manchurian sauce,heat oil in a pan and saute chopped ginger-garlic in medium flame until raw smell completely goes away.
  • Also saute spring onion,green chili in medium flame.
  • Next heat oil in a deep pan and add chopped ginger-garlic and saute in medium low flame until raw smell goes away.
  • Now pour,red chili sauce,soy sauce,vinegar adjust quantity as per your spiciness.
  • Additionally add sugar,kashmiri red chili powder for vibrant colour and salt to taste.
  • Finally mix fried cauliflower and gently mix in this spicy sauce for another 1 to 2 min in medium flame.
  • At the end,garnish the gobi manchurian with some chopped spring onions at the top.

Notes

Gobi Manchurian Recipe Note

  1. If you want to increase spiciness in your sauce then you can mix red chili sauce, tomato ketchup,kashmiri red chili powder, and a little amount of water together.
  2. For this gobi manchurian recipe make small pieces of cauliflower which will be easy to cook and eat.
