Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage cooked and drained
  • 1 can 10 oz Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles (well drained)
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough 8-count each

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cooked and drained sausage, and well-drained Rotel tomatoes. Stir until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
  • Shape the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut each triangle in half lengthwise to form smaller triangles. This will make your crescent bites perfectly bite-sized.
  • Fill and Roll: Place a small scoop (about a tablespoon) of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Carefully roll the dough toward the narrow end, enclosing the filling.
  • Arrange for Baking: Place the crescent rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them to allow for expansion.
  • Bake to Perfection: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the crescents are puffed and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
