This delicious veg sandwich recipe is an easy to go meal where cooked vegetables and mayonnaise are stuffed inside toasted bread. Must try this easy vegetable sandwich at home.

Ingredients

Ingredients for veg sandwich

  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 1 medium size chopped onions
  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 3 chopped green chili
  • 2 medium size tomato puree
  • 1 medium size thinly sliced capsicum
  • 50 grams chopped cabbage
  • 1 medium size grated carrots
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • pinch of salt
  • 10 slice white bread or whole grain bread
  • Butter as required
  • 1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala
  • Mayonnaise as required

Instructions

  • Stuffing for vegetable sandwich
  • Now for cooking stuffing for vegetable sandwich heat oil in a pan then saute cumin seed in medium flame.
  • After that add chopped onions and cook them till translucent.
  • Next add ginger garlic paste , chopped green chili and mix properly.
  • Now pour tomato puree and cooked in medium flame till raw smell of the tomatoes go away completely.
  • Finally add veggies, thinly sliced capsicum, chopped cabbage and grated carrots, saute them in medium high flame for 5 min.
  • Finally sprinkle red chili powder, garam masala and pinch of salt and mix them together.
  • How to make veg sandwich
  • At first to toast bread for sandwich recipe cut whole grain bread or normal brad diagonally into two equal halves.Then apply butter to both the bread slices.
  • Now heat a grill pan on medium flame and place the sandwich with the butter side down. Cook until crispy and golden brown. 
  • Apply some butter to the other side and flip to cook sandwich until golden brown and crispy from both sides.
  • Now for assembling veg sandwich recipe first place the toasted bread on a plate.
  • Then apply coriander chutney on toasted bread.
  • After that add vegetable stuffing, freshly chopped coriander leaves and 1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala.
  • Now apply mayonnaise on the other part of bread.
  • Then place that part on toasted bread and gently press from top and serve veg sandwich recipe immediately.
