Ingredients

For veggie patty

  • 2 medium size grated carrots
  • 10 finely chopped french beans
  • 100 grams green peas fresh or frozen
  • 3 medium size boil mashed potatoes.
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 4 chopped green chili
  • 60 grams breadcrumb [ as per need ]
  • 3 tablespoon cornstarch powder
  • 3 tablespoon maida
  • 1 tablespoon semolina
  • 2 teaspoon salt [ adjust as per need ]
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 3 tablespoon oil

For breading

  • 100 grams maida.
  • 100 grams bread crumb

For batter

  • 3 tablespoon cornstarch powder
  • 3 tablespoon all purpose flour.
  • 2 tablespoon sooji or semolina
  • 100 ml water.

For burger sauce

  • 9 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon crushed muster seed
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil .
  • 2 tablespoon grated cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon lime juice

Assembling veg burger

  • 3 to 4 burger bun
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 3 to 4 lettuce leaves
  • 3 to 4 cheese slice depending upon patties
  • Circular cut capsicum onion , tomato

Instructions

  • Cook vegetables for patties
  • For cooking patties for veg burger wash grated carrots, finely chopped french beans, green peas , boil mashed potatoes.
  • Now in a pressure cooker pour water add veggies cook in medium flame till veggies become tender and well cooked.
  • Next heat oil, saute chopped onion and cooked till translucent.
  • Furthermore add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chili and saute them till raw smell of ginger garlic disappear.
  • Making bread crumbs
  • In a large bowl pour maida.
  • Then pour bread crumb and mix them properly.
  • Making batter
  • Now to make batter for veg burger in a bowl pour cornstarch powder, all purpose flour, sooji or semolina.
  • Next pour water stir and mix everything to get lumps free medium consistency batter. 
  • Homemade burger sauce
  • For homemade burger sauce recipe mix mayonnaise, granulated sugar , crushed muster seed, black pepper powder and oil
  • Furthermore add grated cabbage, lemon juice and salt.
  • Finally mix everything and our simple burger sauce recipe is complete.
  • Now for spicy burger sauce recipe in a bowl mix mayo , tomato ketchup , red chili powder, lime juice.
  • Then mix them together and our spicy burger sauce is ready.
  • Veggie patties recipe
  • Now for making veggie patty mix mashed potatoes, cooked vegetables, cooked onion , ginger garlic paste, breadcrumbs.
  • After that add cornstarch powder, maida , semolina, salt , turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder , garam masala powder.
  • Now mix everything and our veggie patty mixture is ready.
  • Apply oil on palm and make a tikki shape of vegetable mixture, gently place on a plate and keep it freezer for at least 2 hour.
  • After taking out vegetable patties from freezer dip on batter then immediately place of breadcrumb bowl and coat veggie patties evenly.
  • Set aside veggie patty one by one on a plate for frying.
  • Next heat oil in a pan , place veggie patties and shallow fry in medium high flame.
  • Cook veggie patties from both sides until golden brown from both sides.
  • Now put cheese layer on veggie patties , cover the pane for 3 min till cheese melt on patties.
  • How to make veg burger
  • Now for assembling veggie burger recipe first toast burger bun in butter then apply spicy burger sauce on the lower part of burger bun.
  • After that place crispy vegetable patty on spicy burger sauce
  • Next add  circular cut capsicum, tomato , cucumber.
  • Also apply mayo mustard sauce on top of veggies. Apply tomato ketchup on top layer of burger bun.
  • Finally place top layer burger bun and gently press all of the ingredients together and our homemade veggie burger recipe is completed.

Notes

Veggie Burger Recipe Note

  1. Instead of breadcrumb you can use crushed oats, corn flakes, vermicelli.
  2. If you want to bake patties, first place them on baking tray, apply oil on them them then place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for at least 20 min.
  3. Make sure you flip them on other side after 8 to 10 min to get veggie patty perfect golden brown and crispy.
