If you love French toast but prefer it crispier, these French Toast Sticks are the perfect solution! They’re golden, toasty, and packed with flavor, giving you the crunchy texture you crave. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even as a dessert treat. Quick and easy to make, you’ll have a delicious plate of French toast sticks ready in no time!

Ingredients

For the Egg Mixture:

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices white bread, cut into thirds
  • Nonstick spray

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ½ cup white granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Cut each slice of bread into thirds, then dip each piece into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
  3. On a small plate, combine the granulated sugar and ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon to make the cinnamon sugar coating.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and coat it with nonstick spray. Once hot, cook the bread sticks, browning them on all sides until crispy and golden.
  5. Remove the sticks from the skillet and immediately roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Serve your crispy French toast sticks warm and enjoy!
