When it comes to weeknight meals, I’m all about big flavors and minimal cleanup. That’s exactly why this Parmesan Crusted Chicken Sheet Pan Dinner is such a winner. Tucked into a single pan is a trio of favorites—crispy roasted potatoes, garlicky green beans, and juicy parmesan-crusted chicken that practically melts in your mouth.

Inspired by Lorie Yarro’s take on wholesome comfort food, this recipe is designed to simplify your dinner routine without sacrificing an ounce of taste.

Why You’ll Love This Sheet Pan Dinner

  • One pan = no mess: Everything bakes on a single sheet pan, meaning fewer dishes.
  • Balanced and complete: Protein, veggies, and carbs in one meal.
  • Crispy, cheesy perfection: Parmesan and breadcrumbs bring that irresistible crunch.
  • Quick prep: 15 minutes to prep, and the oven takes care of the rest.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1½ lb chicken breasts (about 3–4 pieces), approx. 1 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs (Italian or plain + 1 tsp Italian seasoning)
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • ½–¾ teaspoon sea salt

For the Potatoes:

  • 2 lb red potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1–2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Green Beans:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly coat with cooking spray for easy cleanup.

2. Start with the Potatoes

  • In a bowl, toss potatoes with garlic, olive oil, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread evenly over ⅓ of the sheet pan.
  • Roast for 10–15 minutes, depending on how crispy you like them.

3. Add the Chicken

  • In the same bowl, toss chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and nestle the chicken onto the pan next to the potatoes.

4. Toss in the Green Beans

  • Quickly toss green beans with olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  • Add them to the remaining space on the pan.

5. Bake to Perfection

  • Return the full pan to the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  • Optional: Broil on high for an extra 4–5 minutes to get those golden crispy edges.

6. Serve and Enjoy

  • Let rest for a few minutes.
  • Plate up and serve hot—family-style or individually.

Serving Suggestions

This dish is plenty satisfying on its own, but you can serve it with:

  • A side of crusty bread
  • A drizzle of balsamic glaze
  • A crisp green salad

Storage Tips

  • Fridge: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat: Warm in the oven at 375°F for 10 minutes or in the microwave in short bursts.
