How to store ghee at room temperature
Warm and airy conditions won’t help ghee stay fresh for long, especially during the peak summer season. Try storing it in an airtight container and slide it into a cabinet which is cool and dark.
You can also keep your jar of ghee in the fridge if you fear that it might get spoilt during warm weather. Storing it at room temperature can easily keep the ghee fresh for three months, while cooler conditions can increase its shelf life by months together.
Use an airtight container to store ghee
Storing ghee in an airtight container will ensure that it stays away from moisture. How long a batch of ghee will sustain depends on a number of factors. Moisture impacts the taste of ghee.
Ensure that it is stored in a clean and dry airtight container that you do not open quite often or use a wet spoon to take out the ghee.
How to store ghee in the refrigerator
If you bought ghee in larger quantities but are worried about getting it spoiled soon, then don’t worry you can safely store ghee in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.
Though normally ghee can be stored at room temperature, for at least 3 to 4 months but if stored in the freezer it can stay longer.
