Before using a blender in future must remember these 8 things you should never put in a blender.
Thick & gooey foods
Thick and gooey foods such as potatoes, or dough should never be put in a blender because foods that are too thick will cause the blender to work harder and overheat. This will just burn out the device and may increase the risk of a fire or electrical hazards.
If you are thinking to get mashed potatoes by blending instead, you’ll end up with a starchy potato paste.
In the same way, you can’t mix dough properly which creates problems for baking or whatever you’re trying to make.
Instead of using a blender, you should use a stand or hand mixer.

Ice cubes just like rock-solid frozen foods are very difficult to break for a normal blender. If you go ahead blending ice cubes without following any instructions you may end up breaking the blades or breaking the pitcher.
Before using it you must read the manual instructions to be sure of whether your blender is suitable to crush or chop ice.
You should never put bones into a blender because some larger bones including chicken, goat and pork may dull or break the blade and sometimes it may damages the container but smaller bones, like those of fish, may cause the blender to jam.
If you still want to blend fish safely, just remove the larger bones and make sure there is plenty of liquid in a blender to keep moving the blending blades.
Strong Smelling Foods
Strong-smelling or spicy foods like garlic, ginger and dried red chilli, peppers should not be put in a blender, because it leaves consistent odour and spice behind them, which easily transfer to the next blending thing.
To reduce odour from these strong-smelling foods either you can cook these foods before blending or blend them in small amounts along with other foods.
If want to use hot liquids in your dish then never put in a blender directly because the steam from the hot liquids can build up inside the blender, potentially it creates enough pressure to blow the lid off the top and may burn anyone nearby.
Whenever you’re working with extremely hot liquids, you should always exercise quite a bit of precaution. If possible, allow hot liquids to cool down before you start blending. You can always reheat it after you’re done.
